Sample Itinerary

Day 0: Arusha (applicable if we are arranging airport transfer and/or hotel stay)

We pick you up from the airport and drop you off at your hotel in Arusha. Optional sightseeing tour of the city and markets available if time permits.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, then depart for Tarangire National Park. Game drive through the park, picnic lunch, hotel check-in, and then finish the day off with dinner and drinks at the lodge.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast at the lodge we depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Starting at the lip of the crater we drive down into the caldera area and spend the entire day doing game drives throughout the 260 square kilometers (100 square miles) of grassland, with a picnic lunch breaking up the day. We return to the lodge for dinner and drinks just prior to sundown.

Day 3: Ngorongoro or Tarangire – Arusha

Early morning breakfast at the lodge. Depending on the season and group preference we can take an early morning game drive through Ngorongoro crater or head back towards Arusha and do a half-day safari in Tarangire National park before heading back to Arusha in the late afternoon. Picnic lunch will be provided regardless of the choice of destination for the day. (Alternately, we can visit craft shops, schools, or NGO projects if that is desired.) The above is a sample itinerary, based on the needs of many of our clients that opt for a similar trip. If you would like to make any changes to this schedule please let us know and we will be happy to discuss options with you.
